JEZABEL is a 6-piece metal band coming from Argentina, a country far away, but with a strong tradition in Metal.
Although Jezabel was formed in 1993, they released their debut album only in 2001.
“A todo o nada” was later licensed to Goi Music for its European edition. It has to be said that the album was recorded in 1999 and did not reflected what was the sound of the band even at the moment of its release.
Soon the band became very respected by the local audience which was eagerly waiting to see them live. Thus many local shows took place as well as appearances supporting international acts such as Hammerfall, Angra etc.
In December 2002 CRUZ DEL SUR MUSIC offered the band a deal, and Jezabel entered the studio in February 2003 to start the long recording session of “Legiones Del Sur”, that took them almost 4 months to be finished.

Jezabel’s sound can be referred to the European/German tradition of power metal. But at the same time it would not be fair to reduce the analysis of their music to their somehow-likeness to bands such as Helloween or Gamma Ray, because many fans of Argentinean-legends Rata Blanca, will notice for example the same good-taste in their composition, perfectly expressed by the power ballad “Miro Atras” (“I look back”). It is not always necessary to play fast to play good.
The steady presence of the keyboards and the great guitar duets are another characteristic aspect of “Legiones Del Sur”, along with the band’s election of singing in Spanish; commercially this could have been not the wisest move, but it is band’s determination to maintain a strong tie to their roots.
“Legiones del Sur” is the perfect album for all those fans who still believe that Metal Music can touch emotions and not be a simple entertainment.
