ENSOPH: PREVIEW OF “PROJEKT X-KATON” AVAILABLE |
Shortly after the end of the successful THE HORNED GOD OF THE WITCHES tour (supporting cult horror metal heroes DEATH SS), it is time to raise the curtain on the new ENSOPH creation, “Projekt X-Katon”.From today onwards, on the band’s website www.ensoph.it (completely redesigned for the event), it is available an exciting preview of the album, out February 2006.
Clicking on www.ensoph.it/new2/prev.htm it’s possible to enjoy three full songs (radio-edit versions) and have a complete overview of the album, with sound-cuts from all the other tunes, including the “Sex Dwarf” (Soft Cell) cover, that sees the presence of Steve Sylvester (DeathSS) on vocals.
It is important to notice that “Projekt X-Katon” will be released as a digipack, with a first edition limited to 1500 copies including “The Seductive Dwarf EP”, a 3’’ bonus cd that sees the DEATH SS-leader performing side by side with ENSOPH the above-mentioned cover “Sex Dwarf” (in 2 different versions), along with ENSOPH’s classic “Sun of The Liar”.
“Projekt X-Katon” was recorded by Leonardo Castellani (ENSOPH’s keyboard-player) in the HeartBeat Studios (Venice), mixed in Rome by Giuseppe Orlando (Outer Sound Studios), e lately mastered by Goran Finnberg at Stockholm’s Mastering Room Studios.
Besides Steve Sylvester, there are other guest-appearances by NOVEMBRE’s bros Giuseppe and Carmelo Orlando and Antonella Buosi from SCARECROWN.

PHARAOH has announced the completion of its second
full-length
album, entitled The Longest Night, due in February via
the
cutting-edge Cruz del Sur label. The close of the
mixing
stage this week marks a nearly six-month recording
process
at MCR Studio with Matt Crooks (Twisted Tower Dire,
Division)
at the controls.
"The whole session took a bit longer
than we
anticipated," explained drummer Chris Black. "But the
reasons
are evident in the results. Individually and
collectively,
including Matt Crooks, we pushed our imaginations,
ears, and
bodies to an entirely new plane on this album. This
album is
everything PHARAOH fans will expect and much, much
more."

The Longest Night features special guest Chris Poland (Ohm, ex-
Damn the Machine, Megadeth), who contributes a
dazzling guitar
solo to the opening track "Sunrise".
"I had Chris
Poland in mind
when I wrote the solo section," explained Pharaoh
guitarist
Matt Johnsen. "I'd met him a few years ago when Ohm
came around
on tour, and I was hopeful that he'd agree to do a
spot for us.
Thank goodness he did!"
The Longest Night's album

painted by Jean-Pascal Fournier (Immortal, Edguy.)
PHARAOH also
features in its ranks veteran vocal powerhouse Tim
Aymar, best
known for his work with Chuck Schuldiner's Control
Denied.
PHARAOH's debut, After the Fire, was released by Cruz
del Sur in
2003.

The celebrated Italian black-metal band will start soon the recordings of their new album “Gruesome Splendour” at Studio 73, again with Paso, the producer responsible for the outstanding and monolithic sound of their last effort “Vicecrown”.
“Gruesome Splendour” will be released during Spring 2006 and will contain 9 tracks of aggressive, fast and uncompromised black-death metal.
