PHARAOH’s New Album “Bury The Light” To be Released on Cruz Del Sur Music in 2012

After a long wait, Cruz del Sur Music has finalized a new contract with PHARAOH for the release of three albums. “Bury the Light” is the first and much expected release of awesome metal in the typical style of this much beloved band!! It will be 10 news songs for a total of 48 minutes.

The sessions have some exceptional guest solos by Mike Wead (King Diamond) e Jim Dofka (Dofka).

Today is the official street date for PHARAOH‘s “Ten Years” CD Ep… without wasting time to rave more about the details and track listing we have already described profusely in previous posts, we have reached guitarist Matt Johnsen for an exclusive interview regarding this Ep and some anticipations on the band’s new full-length, tentatively scheduled for the fall of 2011…

“Ten Years” EP is finally out, what are your feelings about it, and how do you think it can preview the material on the upcoming new album?

The EP does not, really, preview the fourth album at all, since everything on it was written contemporaneously with the songs that appeared on Be Gone.  We knew, even before we hit the studio for that album, that we had too many songs for a single LP.  Read more “PHARAOH “Ten Years”: an Interview with Matt Johnsen”

PHARAOH: New EP Confirmed For June Release

American power metal warriors PHARAOH will release the long awaited “Ten Years” EP in June via Cruz Del Sur Music. We are very proud to be working again with this incredible band, having already given to the metal world previous PHARAOH’s full-length releases After the Fire (2003), The Longest Night (2006), Be Gone (2008) as well as last year’s Tribute To Coroner 7″ split with Canvas Solaris.

Entitled Ten Years, the upcoming release contains two unreleased songs from the Be Gone recording sessions, two tracks previously released only as a bonus 7”, and two covers; New Model Army’s “White Light” and Slayer’s “Tormentor.” Read more “PHARAOH: New EP Confirmed For June Release”
