April is the month of Keep It True Festival<\/strong>, which will be taking place on the last weekend of the month. Cruz Del Sur Music will be present as usual, enjoying this great festival and supporting our recording artists Atlantean Kodex<\/strong> (their show is scheduled for Saturday 26th<\/sup> April at 6 pm).<\/p>\n

During the festival we will also present two of our May releases, Vestal Claret \u201cThe Cult of Vestal Claret\u201d<\/strong> and Battleroar \u201cBlood of Legends\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n

For years Vestal Claret<\/strong> has been very hard to find and listen due to the nature of their mysterious existence. \u00a0Only in 2011, with the release of \u201cVirgin Blood<\/strong>\u201d (Sarlacc Productions<\/strong>) 7\u2019\u2019 vinyl EP and the \u201cBloodbath<\/strong>\u201d full-length album, the band was finally able to reach out to the fans.
\nTheir Cruz del Suir Music\u2019s 2014 release \u201cThe Cult of The Vestal Claret\u201d<\/strong> is introduced by the art of Juha Vuorma<\/a><\/strong>, and is a sum of Vestal Claret\u2019s blackened essence. It features re-recorded versions of their tracks from their split with Ungod<\/strong> and the long, creepy suite \u201cBlack Priest\u201d (from their split with Albatross<\/strong>). Besides, it introduces some new occult metal classics such as \u201cThe Stranger\u201d and \u201cGreat Goat God\u201d, and a cover of Black Sabbath<\/strong>\u2019s \u201cWho Are You\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>\u201cThe Cult of the Vestal Claret\u201d will be available, in compact disc, vinyl (with different tracklist) and digital in all stores from May 2nd<\/sup> , and also pre-sold at Keep It True.<\/p>\n

Battleroar<\/strong> needs no introduction, although their new album came after six years and several line-up changes since their previous release \u201cTo Death and Beyond<\/strong>\u201d (Cruz Del Sur 2008). Fans of Epic Metal will rejoice after hearing \u201cBlood of Legends\u201d, as it\u2019s certainly one of the strongest Epic Metal releases of the last few years. New singer Gerrit Mutz<\/strong> ( of Sacred Steel <\/strong>fame) pleases his fans and surprise the skeptics once again delivering the goods with its very convincing performance. This excellent recording, which features delicate violin melodies and the thunderous performance of an entire set of classical players, will leave you breathless. Including over 60 minutes of music, \u201cBlood Of Legends\u201d will be also officially released on May 2nd<\/sup>, but pre-sales will be available at Keep It True. Besides the digital, the CD comes in digipack compact disc with 16-page booklet and double gatefold vinyl editions.<\/p>\n

Some days ago we also announced the release of RAFF\u2019s<\/strong> self-titled debut album. For those who missed the announcement, this is a record that fans (at least here in Italy) have waited for 30 years!
\nBesides supporting such grandiose acts such as Gillan<\/strong> and The Ramones,<\/strong> in the early 80s RAFF opened for Iron Maiden on their very first tour with Bruce Dickinson<\/strong>.\u00a0 But because of life\u2019s unexpected turns, RAFF disbanded leaving behind only a ghost-album (\u201cGates of Fortune<\/strong>\u201d) and a 4-track EP.<\/p>\n

This self-titled album brings justice to the band, who reformed in the early 2000s and kept playing furious live sets. Recorded in 2013, the album maintains the structure of \u201cGates of Fortune\u201d, finally consigning to the eternity of vinyl all those great songs we have been only able to appreciate live thus far.
\nThis luxury-edition, complete with embossed logo on the glossy cover and an 8-page booklet featuring pictures and a great piece on the story of the band, will be available at the 4th<\/sup> edition of the Acciaio Italiano Festival<\/strong> in Mantova on May 24th<\/sup>. Cruz Del Sur Music will of course be present to enjoy the extraordinary music of Italian metal stalwarts STRANA OFFICINA<\/strong>, DEATH SS<\/strong>, THE BLACK<\/strong> and, of course, RAFF<\/strong>!<\/p>\n

At last, we want to communicate the new acquisition in our roster: Finnish MAUSOLEUM GATE <\/strong>have decided to repress their previous material for the first time on CD for Cruz del Sur. The release of \u201cGateways for the Wicked and Obsessed by Metal Sessions\u201d <\/strong>features 6 tracks for a total of almost 40 minutes of music, and will be available through the band, Cruz Del Sur Music\u2019s e-store (and our Keep it True\u2019s selling booth, of course!!!), and several other distributors.<\/p>\n

Needless to say, all who will attend Keep It True are encouraged to visit our merch booth and come share their opinions with us. We\u2019d love to meet and greet our fans, of course! You can find us at the left of the stage, close to the signing session booth. See you there!<\/p>\n
