Ten years after their last studio release, the originators of the <em>Progressive Power Metal<\/em> movement\u00a0return with the their classic sound led by <strong>Steve Kachinsky Blakmoor<\/strong> (guitarist and founding member) and by veteran metal singer <strong>Rick Mythiasin<\/strong>.\u00a0 The recording\u00a0 line up is completed by\u00a0<strong>Vince Dennis<\/strong> (b), <strong>Chris Schleyer<\/strong> (g), <strong>Jimmy Schultz<\/strong> (d); after the recording original drummer<strong> John Tarascio<\/strong>, and\u00a0guitarist <strong>John Paget<\/strong>\u00a0returned to the band together.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">httpv:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=5xPt2AmNJcE&amp;feature=youtu.be<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\u00a0 \u201c<strong>666 is everywhere (the Heavy Metal Blues)<\/strong>\u201d is the 6<sup>th<\/sup>(!) song of the album.\u00a0 Although Steel Prophet is not well known for always being humorous, the whimsy of the lyrics is reflected in the video clip shot by <strong>Agent Steel\/Redemption <\/strong>guitarist<strong> Bernie Versailles<\/strong>. About the song Kachinsky says \u201c<em>Steel Prophet knows metal fans have a fascination with the numbers &#8220;666&#8221;. And when you&#8217;re in a metal band trying to make a living, sometimes it seems like &#8220;666 is Everywhere&#8221;!<\/em>\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\u201c<strong>Omniscient<\/strong>\u201d is composed of 12 songs based on an original story written by Kachinsky. \u00a0The idea of telling a story throughout a whole album is similar to STEEL PROPHET\u2019s 1999 classic \u201c<em>Dark Hallucinations<\/em>\u201d which featured the \u201cFahrenheit 451\u201d story by Ray Bradbury. The famous German Artist <strong>Timo W\u00fcrz<\/strong> was hired to create the amazing cover artwork, and 12 original booklet illustrations to go with the lyrics and story itself. The album also contains a thirteenth song, a cover of <strong>QUEEN\u2019s<\/strong> \u201c<strong>Bohemian Rhapsody<\/strong>\u201d, which was successfully presented by the band at the 2013th edition of the <strong>Keep It True festival<\/strong> in Germany; a video clip of the event will see the light shortly before the release of \u00a0\u201cOmniscient\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\u201c<strong>Omniscient<\/strong>\u201d will be release in limited edition 32-page digibook, regular compact disc, limited\u00a0gate-fold\u00a0double LP and digital download.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>STEEL PROPHET\u00a0has released the first video clip taken from their forthcoming album \u201cOmniscient\u201d (out on Cruz Del Sur Music on July 4th in Europe and July 11th in the United States).
