\"\"Portuguese battle metal outfit RAVENSIRE<\/strong> has announced the addition of guitarist M\u00e1rio Figueira<\/strong> and drummer Alex Fonseca<\/strong>. The pair replaces\u00a0Z\u00e9 RockHard<\/strong> and Francisco Machado<\/strong>, respectively.\u00a0The band\u2019s most recent album, \u201cThe Cycle Never Ends\u201d<\/strong>, was released in 2016 by Italy\u2019s Cruz Del Sur Music<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Comments guitarist\u00a0Nuno<\/strong>: “After we finished recording our album \u2018The Cycle Never Ends\u2019<\/strong>, we started preparing for the shows that would follow. Unfortunately, after a while, Z\u00e9 <\/strong>started facing some changes in his personal life that prevented him from rehearsing as much as he would’ve liked. So, after a few weeks in a sort of limbo, he finally approached us and told us that he couldn’t continue playing with the degree of commitment needed, so he’d leave\u00a0the band\u00a0in order for us to find a replacement as soon as possible. After some searching, we had a few guys willing to step into Z\u00e9’<\/strong>s shoes.<\/p>\n

“So, we planned a few auditions and there was no question that M\u00e1rio<\/strong> would be the one taking the\u00a0battleaxe\u00a0for future battles! Although Mario<\/strong> played mainly in death metal acts in the last\u00a0decade\u00a0(BLEEDING DISPLAY<\/strong>, for\u00a0example),\u00a0recently he\u00a0had been reconnecting to his roots and started playing in a hard rock band called 15 FREAKS<\/strong>. Another fun fact was that\u00a0way before\u00a0Z\u00e9 <\/strong>left the band, he saw a RAVENSIRE<\/strong> concert and enjoyed our sound so much that he got in touch with us! Who\u00a0knew that\u00a0one year later\u00a0he’d be joining the fold?”<\/p>\n

Shortly after the departure of Z\u00e9, <\/strong>long-time drummer Francisco Machado <\/strong>stepped down from RAVENSIRE, <\/strong>citing personal matters. \u201c<\/strong>Honestly speaking, this was an even bigger blow, because F<\/strong> had been one of the main forces in getting RAVENSIRE<\/strong> together,\u201d says Nuno<\/strong>. \u201cOf\u00a0course,\u00a0we fully understood his motives and nothing changed in our friendship. This time, though, instead of trying to find a replacement and going through auditions and whatnot, we went straight to\u00a0MIDNIGHT\u00a0PRIEST<\/strong>‘s drummer Alex<\/strong> since we knew he was available to commit to another band and we’ve been friends and mutual fans of each other\u2019s\u00a0bands\u00a0since the beginning!\u201d<\/p>\n

RAVENSIRE<\/strong>\u2019s lineup now consists of:<\/p>\n

Nuno\u00a0– Guitar<\/strong><\/p>\n

M\u00e1rio – Guitar<\/strong><\/p>\n

Alex – Drums<\/strong><\/p>\n

With their new lineup in place, RAVENSIRE <\/strong>has begun work on their third full-length album, which they plan on recording during the first half of 2018. The band has also planned some new live assaults:<\/p>\n
