Greek epic\/power metal force\u00a0BATTLEROAR<\/strong>\u00a0has revealed the cover art and track listing for their forthcoming studio album, \u201cCodex Epicus\u201d<\/strong>. Due on June 15 via Cruz Del Sur Music<\/strong>, the \u201cCodex Epicus\u201d<\/strong> album art was created by Vagelis Petikas<\/strong>\u00a0of\u00a0Revolver Design<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The follow-up to 2014\u2019s\u00a0\u201cBlood Of Legends\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0was recorded at Devasoundz Studios<\/strong> in Athens, Greece and features a guest appearance from MANILLA ROAD<\/strong> guitarist\/vocalist Mark Shelton<\/strong> on the song \u201cSword of the Flame\u201d<\/strong>, reprising a role he first took on with \u201cThe Wanderer\u201d<\/strong>, which appears on BATTLEROAR<\/strong>\u2019s 2005 album, \u201cThe Age of Chaos\u201d<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Comments BATTLEROAR<\/strong> guitarist Kostas Tzortzis<\/strong>: \u201cMark<\/strong> is one of my biggest musical influences, my mentor and my brother. I am lucky enough to know him personally for more than 16 years and we have shared many experiences in many different places on this planet! So, during the creation of this album, I found myself drained of inspiration, with a nice song on my hands half-finished, but with absolutely no idea how to get it done. Time was running out and I was getting desperate, so I thought of asking Mark<\/strong> for help. Mark<\/strong> has never failed me and this time was no different. He wrote the lyrics, created the vocal lines, sang them and he even added a guitar solo in the end of the song. The rest is history…\u201d<\/p>\n

BATTLEROAR<\/strong> will support \u201cCodex Epicus\u201d<\/strong> with extensive live shows across Europe.<\/p>\n

Originally formed in 2000, BATTLEROAR<\/strong>\u2019s self-titled debut album was released in 2003. The band followed it up with \u201cAge Of Chaos\u201d<\/strong> in 2005 before joining Cruz Del Sur<\/strong> for the release of 2008\u2019s \u201cTo Death And Beyond\u2026\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n
