The album also positioned\u00a0<strong>PHARAOH<\/strong>\u00a0as one of the most promising and classy melodic metal bands in recent memory, earning the band much-deserved praise both on domestic and international shores.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Now, 15 years after the fact,\u00a0Cruz Del Sur\u00a0is releasing\u00a0\u201cAfter The Fire\u201d\u00a0on vinyl on\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Aug 31<\/strong><strong>, with\u00a0a different, alternative mixing, new mastering, and fresh, updated liner notes by Matt Johnsen!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cruzdelsurmusic.com\/store\/index.php?route=product\/product&amp;product_id=1817\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>CLICK TO PRE-ORDER!<\/strong><\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201c<strong>PHARAOH<\/strong> and <strong>Cruz Del Sur<\/strong> are still doing what we do, in our stubborn ways!\u201d says drummer <strong>Chris Black<\/strong>. \u201cHow little has changed in this regard. I guess our producer\/engineer <strong>Matt Crooks<\/strong> wasn&#8217;t yet on board, but otherwise with <strong>\u2018After the Fire\u2019<\/strong>, we have already included all of the same people and roles as we do today.\u00a0I&#8217;m talking about the musicians\/songwriters but also <strong>Enrico Leccese<\/strong> of <strong>Cruz Del Sur<\/strong> and <strong>JP Fournier<\/strong>, who has painted all of our album covers.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>PHARAOH<\/strong>, rounded out by vocalist <strong>Tim Aymar<\/strong>, guitarist <strong>Matt Johnsen<\/strong> and bassist <strong>Chris Kerns<\/strong>, was originally formed to play, according to <strong>Johnsen<\/strong>, \u201cthe kind of melodic heavy metal that was highly unfashionable when we first met.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<strong>Chris<\/strong> had <strong>SAXON<\/strong> and <strong>IRON MAIDEN<\/strong> in mind, while I was thinking about <strong>RAGE <\/strong>and <strong>ANGRA<\/strong>,\u201d he says. \u201cAnd although none of us have the same tastes, exactly, I guess they&#8217;re close enough where it counts! \u201cSince <strong>\u2018After the Fire\u2019<\/strong>, we&#8217;ve all grown immensely as players and writers, but the basic templates we established for ourselves on that record have held up surprisingly well.\u00a0 Our newer songs are much harder to play, but they&#8217;re clearly cut from the same cloth as the ones on our debut.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>PHARAOH<\/strong> has released three studio albums since <strong>\u201cAfter The Fire\u201d<\/strong> and are hard at work at their next full-length, tentatively titled <strong>\u201cThe Powers That Be\u201d<\/strong>.
