Veteran Rochester, New York doomsters ORODRUIN<\/strong> have signed with Cruz\nDel Sur Music<\/strong> for the release of their second full-length album, \u201cRuins Of Eternity\u201d<\/strong>. The album \u2014 the\nband\u2019s first in 16 years \u2014 will see the light of day this October.

\nOriginally formed in 1998 by John Gallo <\/strong>(guitar),\nMike Puleo <\/strong>(bass\/vocals), Nick Tydelski <\/strong>(guitar) and Mike Waske<\/strong> (drums), ORODRUIN<\/strong> broke onto the American metal\nscene with 2003\u2019s \u201cEpicurean Mass\u201d<\/strong>,\nwhich remains their lone full-length album to date. From the vintage school of BLACK<\/strong> SABBATH<\/strong> and SAINT VITUS<\/strong>\ndoom with a European twist, ORODRUIN<\/strong>\u2019s\npenchant for churning riffs and atmospheric passages instantly put them on the\nglobal doom metal map. The band issued a split, compilation, demo and EP in\nensuing years, all building up to the eventual release of their sophomore\nalbum. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Gallo<\/strong>, ORODRUIN<\/strong> wrote nine new songs from 2016\nto 2018, with a tenth song, \u201cLetter Of\nLife\u2019s Regret\u201d<\/strong> coming from 2005. The album was tracked throughout 2018 at Wicked Squid Studio<\/strong> and is currently\nbeing mixed with the mastering process right around the corner.

\n\u201cStylistically, the songs are in the epic doom realm like the master titans of\nthe 1970s, SABBATH <\/strong>and JUDAS PRIEST<\/strong>,\u201d says Gallo<\/strong>. \u201cThe songs are a long-awaiting\nevolution in our writing and chemistry among brothers on a treacherous journey\nthat will finally be unleashed to the masses.  We hope it translates well\nto the hearts and souls of our fans worldwide.\u201d

\nIn preparation for the band\u2019s triumphant return to European shores for this\nfall\u2019s Hammer Of Doom <\/strong>festival, ORODRUIN<\/strong> have enlisted drummer Kevin Latchaw<\/strong> of labelmates ARGUS<\/strong>, who is temporarily manning the\ndrum spot while the band searches for a replacement for Waske<\/strong>, who left ORODRUIN<\/strong>\nin April of 2018.

\nGallo<\/strong>: \u201cWe are extremely honored to\nbe playing the same night as Uli Jon\nRoth<\/strong> and TROUBLE<\/strong> alongside our\nclassic doom brothers MIRROR OF\nDECEPTION<\/strong>, SKALD <\/strong>and ATLANTEAN KODEX<\/strong> on the next day, to\nmention only a few!  We can’t express how amazing it will be to be playing\na substantial doom metal festival in Germany again.
