Albums such as 2004\u2019s <strong>\u201cEternity Revealed\u201d<\/strong> and 2007\u2019s <strong>\u201cCemetery\nEarth\u201d<\/strong> cemented the band\u2019s reputation as one of the best pure torchbearers\nof <strong>BLACK SABBATH<\/strong> and <strong>SAINT VITUS<\/strong>-styled doom, while their most\nrecent 2018 self-titled album was hailed by Last Rites as \u201ctrue-blue doom for\nthe truly doomed.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>PALE DIVINE<\/strong> \u2014\nwho comprise of vocalist\/guitarist <strong>Greg Diener<\/strong>, guitarist <strong>Dana Ortt<\/strong>,\nbassist <strong>Ron McGinnis<\/strong> and drummer <strong>Darin McCloskey<\/strong> \u2014 is currently\nhunkered down in the studio with producer <strong>Richard Whittaker<\/strong> recording\ntheir sixth studio album, <strong>\u201cConsequence Of Time\u201d<\/strong>, which will see the\nlight of day in May 2020. The album\u2019s artwork will be handled by <strong>Brian Tutlo<\/strong>,\nthe man responsible for the eye-catching <strong>\u201cThunder Perfect Mind\u201d<\/strong> and <strong>\u201cEternity\nRevealed\u201d<\/strong> covers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br \/>\n\u201cIt\u2019s definitely a natural progression but\nmaybe not in the way people might expect, which is one of the reasons we\u2019re\nexcited,\u201d says <strong>McCloske<\/strong>y. \u201cWe have a new lineup now which includes <strong>Dana<\/strong>,\nwhom <strong>Greg<\/strong> and I played with in <strong>BEELZEFUZZ<\/strong>. <strong>Dana <\/strong>has brought\na new element to the band that blends perfectly with <strong>PALE DIVINE<\/strong> that\nhas helped us take things to the next level.\u201d &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>PALE DIVINE<\/strong>\ncame to join <strong>Cruz Del Sur Music<\/strong> through a familiar face: <strong>WHILE HEAVEN\nWEPT <\/strong>leader <strong>Tom Phillips<\/strong>. The band originally crossed paths with <strong>Cruz\nDel Sur<\/strong> label head <strong>Enrico Leccese<\/strong> at the 2018 <strong>Hammer Of Doom<\/strong>\nfestival in Germany, but it was <strong>Phillips <\/strong>who initiated the proper\ndiscussions. After that, according to <strong>McCloskey<\/strong>, it was a no-brainer to\nsign with <strong>Cruz Del Sur<\/strong>. <br \/>\n<br \/>\n\u201cWe had heard great things about <strong>Cruz Del Sur<\/strong>\nfrom our friends in <strong>ARGUS <\/strong>and <strong>APOSTLE OF SOLITUDE so <\/strong>we were\nalready familiar and very interested. We discussed things with <strong>Enrico <\/strong>and\nhe offered us a great deal. Moving forward, we\u2019re really excited to be part of the\n<strong>Cruz Del Sur Music <\/strong>roster. It feels like we\u2019re part of a family now.\nThis is where we belong.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>PALE DIVINE<\/strong> will be celebrating its 25<sup>th<\/sup> year as a band in\n2020. <strong>McCloskey<\/strong> says the highlights have been numerous, starting with\nthe bands they\u2019ve played with and the people they\u2019ve met over the years, as\nwell as their first trip to Germany in 2005 playing alongside <strong>PLACE OF\nSKULLS<\/strong> and <strong>RISING DUST<\/strong>. \n\n\u201cIn many ways, it\nalways sort of feels like we\u2019re just starting out,\u201d he says. \u201cEvery new\nexperience, every new song and new album pretty much reinforces that. We still\nhave a lot of music in us and a lot more to accomplish. It hardly seems like it\u2019s\nbeen 25 years, in all honestly. Going overseas for the first time and playing\nfor people who were fans of our music was pretty mind-blowing for us at the\ntime&#8230;still is, really. Even our recent trip to W\u00fcrzburg last year for <strong>Hammer\nOf Doom<\/strong> was an awesome experience as well.
