The 10th Annual MHK Metalfest<\/strong> is set to kick off next Thursday, October 28th in Manhattan, KS.\u00a0 The 3-day event will take place at two separate venues; Thursday\u2019s show happening at Mel\u2019s Tavern<\/strong> with the Friday and Saturday shows taking place at the Wareham Opera House<\/strong>, both located within a block of each other.
\nThursday October 28th\u2019s lineup at Mel\u2019s Tavern features local and regional Metal talents Terror Tractor, Nursing Home Panty Raid, Effigy Of Thought, A Grave Calling, Strange Unit <\/strong>and Terrible Airplane<\/strong>.\u00a0 This show is 18+ with a $3 cover charge.<\/p>\n

Friday October 29th’s lineup at the Wareham Opera House is headlined by Dallas\/Ft. Worth thrashers WARBEAST<\/strong>, featuring vocalist Bruce Corbitt of RIGOR MORTIS<\/strong>.\u00a0 Also on Friday\u2019s bill are HAMMERLORD <\/strong>(Lawrence, KS), Ohio\u2019s VINDICATOR, SORROW BY TRUTH<\/strong> (Manhattan, KS) and POSSESSOR<\/strong> from Virginia.
\nDoors open at 7pm with music starting at 7:30.\u00a0 An after-hours show will take place at Mel\u2019s Tavern with SANCTUS INFERNUM<\/strong> (Wichita, KS) performing. This is an all-ages show for $13, with the after-hours being 18+.<\/p>\n

Saturday October 30th\u2019s lineup at the Wareham Opera House is headlined by legendary shock rock\/metal icons IMPALER<\/strong> from Minneapolis.\u00a0 Also playing Saturday are Denver\u2019s HAVOK, BIBLE OF THE DEVIL<\/strong> (Chicago), DECIMATION <\/strong>(Manhattan, KS) and AGGRESSOR<\/strong> from Toronto, featuring drummer Chris Stephenson from CAULDRON<\/strong>.\u00a0 Doors open at 7pm with music starting at 7:30.\u00a0 A Zombie Ball constume contest will take place on Saturday night, and the winners will receive tickets to see The Misfits in Kansas City on November 24th. An after-hours show will take place again on Saturday at Mel\u2019s Tavern with MEAT SHANK<\/strong> (Kansas City) performing.\u00a0 This is an all-ages show for $13, with the after-hours being 18+.<\/p>\n

Raffle prizes including CDs, DVDs, posters and autographed merchandise are available Friday and Saturday, with all proceeds going to benefit the Ronnie James Dio Stand Up And Shout Cancer fund<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
