MAGISTER TEMPLI joins CRUZ DEL SUR MUSIC!

Oslo-based band MAGISTER TEMPLI has reached an agreement for the release of their debut full length with Cruz Del Sur Music.

MAGISTER TEMPLI is considered the most interesting occult metal band raising from Norway as today.
The band was formed in 2008 by singer Abraxas d’Ruckus and bassist/guitarist David (Baphomet) Ulleland and released a first demo in 2010 “Lucifer/Restoration”.
The song “Lucifer” was later featured on Terrorizer doom special’s compilation, raising quite an interest around the band.

The actual line up is completed by drummer Audun (Grimmdun) Ulleland and guitarist Patrick (Patriark/Fjellnord) Møller Nilsen, both hailing from the black metal band Svarttjern.

MAGISTER TEMPLI deal with esoteric, alchemic and ritualistic imagery, and musically could be described as old school heavy/doom metal with non-static guitar textures and passionate, suffering vocals.

The band has just self-released its debut EP “Iao Sabao”, available on cd and on vinyl on Freshtea records.

Magister Templi’s first EP is a monument to formal, classic doom that fills your ears with the class of bands like Candlemass and Solitude Aeternus, but fills your heart with dread and regret. All sinners must listen to this EP and lament their impending fate. (NocturnalCult.com)

The recording of the album, tentatively entitled “Lucifer Leviathan Logos”, will start in November for a Spring 2013 release.

ARGUS CONFIRMED for DUBLIN DOOM DAYS (28th-30th September 2012)!

Cruz Del Sur Music is pleased to confirm the presence of American traditional heavy/doom metal ARGUS at the Dublin Doom Days festival.

Their attendance was put dangerously at risk due to the impossibility of organizing a short European tour around the festival, shows that would have helped to recoup some of the high intercontinental airfare expenses.

However thanks to a joint work between the festival, the band itself and Cruz Del Sur it was possible to save the day and have ARGUS fly to Ireland for the show and possibly a couple of other local gigs including an acoustic set for the now famous Into the Void “acoustic gigs” series.

Cruz Del Sur Music would like to extend our gratitude to all the players involved, Argus, Mark Leigh of Dublin Doom Days, Pawel Palica and Marcin Dec in Poland who had given all their support for a show, Felipe Plaza of Procession and Pim Blankenstein of 11^th Hour for the help in getting contacts, Björn of Tragic Serenades booking in Hamburg and Luther of Hooded Priest for the good predisposition.

After many delays we’re finally proud to announce that the official release date for PAGAN ALTAR’s “The Time Lord” CD EP has been confirmed for the 13^th of July 2012. Pre-order your copy clicking on the button below!!

Cruz Del Sur Music is releasing this much anticipated EP for the European market in collaboration with Shadow Kingdom Records, which is responsible for the American edition. “The Time Lord” CD Ep features PAGAN ALTAR‘s early material, written and recorded in between 1978 and 1979 across different studios, and later saved for posterity on cassette tape, the top quality audio standard at the time.

This release sees the light of day on CD format for the first time ever, having been previously released as vinyl-only editions. The genuine 4-track original recording has been specifically remastered for the best CD sounding results.

“The Time Lord” is just the first in a series of re-releases of the entire PAGAN ALTAR’s back catalog. These will hit the streets before the end of the year, together with the long-expected new studio opus “Never Quite Dead”.
